Garfield Townhouse is a large 1880s brownstone in the Park Slope Historic District. The project involved a gut renovation of the original structure and complete interior design services including the integration of the client’s art collection.

The design of the parlor floor centered around housing the client’s substantial collection of books, as well as creating a generous, bright kitchen space in the rear extension. The existing parquet flooring was preserved in the living and dining rooms, and matched in the other spaces. The result is a classic, understated family home with period details.
