Shapeless Studio Architecture P.C. is a full service architecture & interior design firm that specializes in private residential renovations and interior design projects throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Shapeless Studio seeks to work without boundaries, to respect the urban and historic context, to create projects that are specific and special to each client. Architecture is the container within which a life unfolds, and we endeavor to create spaces in which it is easy to feel happy.
Andrea Fisk, AIA, Principal
Andrea earned her Master of Architecture from Washington University in St Louis, and an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Humanities and Arts degree in Creative Writing, Architecture and Photography from Carnegie Mellon University. She has always been fascinated by the stories of everyday things and loves the architectural history of New York City, especially as it’s manifested in the “dressings” of fine houses: mouldings, woodwork, and door hardware. Her recent work has sought to combine this stylistic history with contemporary sensibilities in a way that feels genuine and liveable. Prior to founding Shapeless Studio, she was a project manager at MADE Architecture. She is a registered architect in the state of New York.
Jess Thomas, AIA, Principal
Originally from Florida, Jess Thomas Hinshaw now resides in Brooklyn, NY. She is a registered architect in the State of New York. She received a Master of Architecture from Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College, majoring in Studio Art and Art History. Her past as an Art History and Studio Art major translates into a profound appreciation of materials and details. She has a particular love for obscure tiles, lighting, and integrated pulls. Prior to founding Shapeless Studio, Jess worked as a project manager for MADE Architecture, a design/build firm in Brooklyn, NY.
Alison Sekerak, Junior Designer
Alison was born and raised in the heart of rural Maine. Following her desire to experience the world beyond her small town, she attended Syracuse University where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture with a Minor in Theater Design. She has studied in Italy, New York City and Argentina, and has worked in residential design in New York and Connecticut. She enjoys the challenge of blending her traditional understanding of the home with modern design practices.
